+- the movie making magic is on display here. the cyclops, the moving trees, guys getting picked off the ship, etc.
+  - really liked the saturn devouring his son reference
+- hades scene was my favorite in both tone and how it was made
+- odysseus somehow knows both his place in eras and how future audiences will hear of his story?
+- this could have used some more editing. i think it could have been a 2.5 hour film, especially in the last few sections
+- i think nolan does too much trying to spoon feed his intepretation of what our moral/ethical takeaways should be. trust the audience to be smart enough to figure things out on their own
